Our work with schools sees us deliver sports coaching sessions to children of all ages and abilities from a mixture of backgrounds. Foundation Sports works closely with schools to up skill their workforce to ensure the teaching staff in primary schools across the UK are confident and competent to deliver an effective PE lesson.
Foundation Sports allows all schools to be able to access professional coaching. We have created one of the country’s leading community schemes by delivering educational and sports related projects in schools.

Learn what Foundation Sports Bedfordshire can do for you
Our schools programme is the grass roots of sport. Based on fun and learning, the school time coaching provides a structured curriculum as an introduction to sport, our aim is to provide the sports stars of tomorrow.
The overall objective for ours sports club is to enhance the child’s level of interaction and group participation skills whilst helping them to learn and to grow their love of sport whilst trying out sports they haven’t considered before. Our breakfast and after school clubs offer a sports and activity focused wrap around service that provide schools and working parents with the option of an early drop off early and late pick up, with the peace of mind that their child is being cared for in a safe, fun and inclusive environment.
The ‘Active Lunchtime’ program can be a sports specific or general multi-skills session which aims to keep children active during their lunch break through organised games and fun sessions. This can be used as a positive behaviour tool, to coach and educate young leaders and to up-skill midday assistants.
Since the introduction and continued ring-fenced Sports Premium Funding, we have been working with schools to enable them to deliver Ofsted outstanding level PE via Curricular Coaching. This includes a full audit of current provision, measurable target setting with clear and age appropriate learning objectives and full session delivery in accordance with overarching term-to-term goals and individual session plans. This program can also be utilised as PPA Cover for teaching staff.
If your school has an important sports event or tournament on the horizon, or you require some additional help running a specific school sports team, our Team Training program can help take the organisational and management onus off your staff and into the hands of our professional coaches. This includes all training sessions, and match-day, tournament and events team management.

We also have a comprehensive out of school program, including One-to-One Coaching for young footballers and Birthday Parties!
As is our legal obligation, and for best practice we ensure that our coaches meet all of the following criteria:

Enhanced DBS (CRB) Clearance.

Emergency First Aid Certification.

All coaches are Recognised National Governing Body NGB qualified.

Full Insurance Policy.

Public Liability – £10 million.

In addition, we have created own healthy lifestyle scheme 'MoveIT! Project'. This program works with the aim of giving children the knowledge and information which will help them to make better informed choices with regards to leading a healthy lifestyle.
